Description
To understand trauma students must understand the neuroscience behind it which shows the loss of perceived safety. By understanding the link between neurobiology and mental processes, they gain insight into the resulting behaviors. In this course students will learn practical applications of the neuroscience to create connection and co-regulation with those with whom they work. This course will empower them to rethink the way they see themselves and others, emphasize the importance of emotion in learning, challenge students to expand the methods they utilize to work with others, and strengthen the data collected to bring about a more positive and lasting impact.
