Description

The Pilates training system was originally developed in the 1920s by German physical therapist Joseph Pilates. The main focus of the Pilates method is the development of balance, controlled breathing, flexibility, isometric strength, concentration, self-control, coordination, efficiency, harmony, and precision in movement. This course will include exercises which help to strengthen the body’s core muscle groups combined with focused breathing patterns. The student will gain an understanding and develop a deeper awareness of the human body and will learn how to efficiently use and control movements of major muscle groups using breath.
