This course focuses on an identifiable span of time or a recognizable production of work that had a remarkable impact upon current culture and media. Examples include postmodernism, Jazz Age, sensation fiction, Chicago Renaissance, dirty realism, and English Renaissance. Students may take this course more than once as long as the subject focus differs each time.
