Description

This course will focus on providing in-service teachers with the ability to utilize instructional approaches, technology tools and materials, and an integrated, comprehensive, curriculum to support student learning in reading and writing using research supported by the science of reading. In-service teachers will develop the knowledge to create a literate environment that fosters reading and writing by integrating foundational knowledge, instructional practices, approaches and methods, and curriculum materials. Teachers will develop awareness, understanding, respect, and a valuing of differences to differentiate instruction to improve students’ skills.
