Description

This is a service-learning course in which students will gain a better understanding of the products, practices and perspectives among Spanish-speaking communities in the U.S., specifically in the context of Hispanic/Latinx communities in Columbia, SC. Students will also improve their language skills by using Spanish both within and beyond the school setting through interactional service-learning projects with Spanish-speaking communities as well as advocating for multilingualism and equal rights for all people in the U.S.
