Description

In this course, students will further develop skills in reading and writing in Spanish through the investigation and analysis of texts found in popular culture. Through texts such as social media posts, music, and movies, students will use Spanish to explore, explain, and reflect on relationships among products, practices and perspectives influenced by the history and lived experiences of global Spanish-speaking cultures. In doing so, students will examine diversity in social, cultural, political and historical contexts, recognizing that power and privilege influence communication on interpersonal, intergroup and institutional levels.
