Description

This course is an introduction to trauma informed practice which focuses on how the classroom can facilitate well-being for students, families, and teachers. The course provides an overview of how trauma and mental health impact all members of the classroom, how to support individuals in the classroom who have experienced or are experiencing trauma, and how to prevent the classroom from causing harm. Topics will include trauma-informed
practices, mental health intervention, child welfare, communicating with families and professionals, and teacher self-care.
