Description

This course explores the role of power, influence, and politics in organizations, focusing on effective leadership, follower strategies, and their impact on employee motivation. Students analyze how human behavior and power dynamics affect outcomes from the perspectives of leaders, managers, and team members. They examine and critique individual political and negotiation styles, including gender communication differences. The course also develops strategies to enhance organizational relationships, navigate political environments, and increase influence. Emerging leadership issues in today’s fast-paced, global business landscape are also addressed.
