Description

This course explores enduring and emerging challenges of diversity in today’s professional environments, focusing on power, access, and equity. Students examine how diversity (across culture, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, ability, and gender) shapes organizational leadership, staff, and stakeholder dynamics. These issues are analyzed through lenses such as labor divisions, class, power, marginalization, cultural representation, and access to education, health, and employment. The course also highlights diversity as a potential asset in fostering productive work environments. Students apply their insights to frame, analyze, and develop solutions to contemporary educational challenges.
