...I will let Ms. Quick know that she has a Financial Aid question in the Tuition Account forum. She is not in the office today but I expect her to be here tomorrow. I know it is confusing to the students. Tuition Accounts has no information about awarding, requesting funds, etc on loans, grants, scholarships. We only come into the action when the money is received by the College....

... Thank you to Financial Aid and Tuition Accounts for all that you do. Some find it so easy to criticize and so hard to say a simple thank you. All of you are greatly appreciated. As my mom tells me all the time, until you have walked in this case worked in someone else's shoes it's easy to complain if you haven't experience or know what they go through. Let's all try to be a little kinder to these ladies. Thank you again ladies....

...When a student goes from part time to full time they should let their financial aid counselor aware. Most likely they will receive a new award letter. Their charges would also increase, so you should ask tuition accounts for a new statement. The reverse is also true. Going from full time to part time would mean a decrease in charges and most likely a decrease in aid. You should visit both offices to get a revised look at your account....

    Re: Summer Aid Problems

...Here is a good question about taking transient courses during the summer. When you are getting summer aid, in addition to getting your advisors approval for the course, you must let your financial aid counselor know you are taking transient courses. There is a form they will do for you called a 'Consortium Agreement.' This is required only when summer aid is involved. ...

...One of the first things you do is let Financial Aid know that you are going to do transient coursework. When you fill out the Consortium Agreement that Financial Aid will provide, our office will be sent a copy. Michelle Poindexter (in Tuition Accounts) will receive an invoice from Midlands Tech and she will pay it using your aid. Midlands Tech has agreed to wait for your aid to be sent to us before they receive payment. This has been the procedure for many years. Michelle knows the people at Midlands Tech and has a good working relationship with them. ...

Those of you who are getting the State Grant can find it on your award letter or KC statement.Only full time students are eligible for the State Grant. Example 1: This student does not have the State Grant: Tuition amount due: 5000. Aid that has been received: 6000. Loans 5500 Pell 500...
